X variations in a room – WIP
Pick a mesh, shape it, make it older, make it younger, replicate it in another xyz location, vary it, confront it with itself through another gesture. Adjust the light to better understand it, to grasp its feeling more clearly. Rearrange, move, or add furniture for that very same reason. Choose a body, shape it, vary it. Ask again, and then again…
The images do not document reality, but rather a game around the ontology of the image.
I wanted to evoke qualities intrinsic to photography as it exists in the physical world, where an image becomes the result of inhabiting space — revealing different aspects of what is shown, and fundamentally, presenting fragments of something dynamic.
I began this series with the simple idea that everything would happen within a single room. It became a space where I could quietly step into the role of an observer — someone moving through, and slowly forming a relationship with the space.
This gradually evolved into an open-ended narrative, where each image both extends and questions the environment it presents.
