What first caught my attention in 3D images was the impossibility of defining what I was seeing—not knowing whether it was a photograph of a sculpture or something that existed solely in a digital environment. As a 3D artist, one of my first interests was how to extend that sensation—how to prolong the state of latency in which the image confronts us both with its virtuality and with the sensual space it inaugurates.
